the foreign press traveled to amsterdam in early 2005. there, we added these to the time-track:

* mecca, an ode to the great city.

we like the tiny hours between the evening and the day, mountains, alleys, california, bourbon, aston villa, chess, old buildings, jane birkin, amsterdam, new castle brown ale, most things welsh, and new jersey.

we don't like george bush et al., high fructose corn syrup, morning, the current state of journalism, dc slices (except Vace), war, SUVs....
